Description: This course will follow an elder mistreatment case study from initial suspicion at a medical facility through referrals to Adult Protective Services and the Senior Justice Assessment Center (SJAC), culminating in the final case outcome. Participants will be able to describe recent and ongoing research on elder mistreatment screening methods, outline potential clinical management steps for both suspected and confirmed cases, and complete the required societal responsibilities shared by all Texans.
