Description: This session will explore financial decision-making as it changes across the lifespan, and possible consequences of aging on financial capacity at personal and societal levels. Risks and signs of financial exploitation, waning financial capacity, and how to assess for and manage both will be covered. Additionally, cultural and generation differences of what constitutes financial exploitation and appropriate resource sharing within families and communities will be addressed in order to best support care partners and those they care for as they navigate short- and long-term financial planning.
